The main concern that fuels cocoa farmers' fear after the price increase is the difficulty for some buyers to pay the price of 900 CFA francs per kg. In reality, these farmers are not against the rise in cocoa prices, which, moreover, is for their advantage. Rather, they welcomed the new edge field price set at 900 FCFA per kilogram with an increase of 75 FCFA compared to last season. However, they are concerned about this process of buying cocoa beans. According to producers, there is a problem. For them, the State of Côte d'Ivoire does not finance purchases from producers, and the country does not have adequate storage capacity, which is not the case in Ghana.
