On Tuesday, January 27, 2026, the signing took place of the Country Engagement Framework (CEP) 2026-2027 between the Minister of Finance, Budget, Digital Economy, Planning and International Cooperation, Tahir Hamid Nguilin, and the Director General of Global Practices and international partnerships of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB).

The ceremony brought together members of the government, technical and financial partners, as well as a delegation of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB). Since Chad joined the IDB, over 1.1 billion dollars have been approved in financing, with a portfolio assets of 474 million dollars covering 19 transactions. These investments mainly concern transport infrastructures, access to water, education, health, and Islamic microfinance.
