Those responsible for the oil palm sector held two days of discussions from 6 to 7 October 2022 on issues related to financing, mechanization, and the popularization of R&D ; results of research, supervision and training. It was during a workshop in Divo, in western Côte d'Ivoire.

Following consultation between managers of the Competitive Value Chains Project for Employment and Economic Transformation (PCCET) and palm value chain actors & Agrave; oil, a mischief has been established with a view to the competitiveness of the sector. The discussions during the two days took place within the framework of the public-private partnership. Thus, actors in the value chain and the PCCET teams have considered the problems of the sector, and then actions have been identified for its development.

According to the Prime Minister's adviser and coordinator of the PCCET, actors in the value chain, the main constraints, the root causes of these constraints, possible solutions, and a plan of action actions are browsed. In terms of production, the workshop showed that significant progress has been made by Côte d'Ivoire: “Today, all these actors fit perfectly into the vision of the President of the Republic for the creation of added value with the aim of increase incomes for producers and for other actors in the value chain and also to create jobs for young people and women,” notified adviser to the Prime Minister and coordinator of the PCCET.
