This is part of the coffee-cacao sector's 2022-2023 campaign, which starts in October. According to Koné, this increase of 75 FCFA compared to the previous season is also intended to help encourage an increase in cocoa production. “One of the priorities to ensure the sustainability of the cocoa economy is to ensure decent remuneration for producers through a better redistribution of the overall value generated”, he informed. Thus, the Ivorian authorities expect production of 1,650,000 tons for the 2022-2023 season.
