An agreement signing ceremony was held Last Thursday, February 12 in the meeting room of the Rural Municipality of Koumbia. It is a global local development agreement and two individual agreements between the Mining Commodities Alliance (AMC) and Gaoual.

The CDL signing ceremony was attended Sub-prefects and Chairmen of special delegations of all communities of the prefecture of Gaoual but also of the notability of Koumbia, sufficiently represented. According to Mamadou Kéïta, the Director General Deputy to the AMC, this agreement reflects the real priorities of populations, not decisions taken at a distance.

“Through this local development agreement, AMC is clearly committed to supporting local authorities in the realization of structuring social projects; contribute to the improvement of access to basic infrastructure; support local economic development, in particular in favor of young people and women and promote transparency, the consultation and accountability in the management of project resources of bauxite from Koumbia”, he said.

After the signing of the Global Convention involving the eight communities of Gaoual, the individual agreement of Wendou M'Bour and that of Koumbia, the rural municipalities impacted by AMC-G.

At the end of the ceremony, of the participants wanted to express their satisfaction and formulate recommendations.
