On Monday Monday, January 26, last Monday, January 26, the Kingdom of Morocco and the African Development Bank Group (AfDB) have officially launched, a Support and Financing Programme for entrepreneurship for job creation (PAFE-Emploi).

The PAFE-Emploi is in line with the guidelines of New Development Model and aims to make entrepreneurship a lever central to the creation of sustainable jobs, by strengthening public mechanisms support for very small, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). He has ambitions to significantly strengthen the contribution of SMEs to the national economy, by increasing their share in GDP from 30% to 35% by 2026, while increasing their contribution to formal employment of 35%. Through this dynamic, the program aims to create 220,000 jobs by 2026.

This program is organized around three axes complementary strategies. These include the strengthening of technical support for entrepreneurs; from support to the financing of a inclusive entrepreneurship with a high impact on formal employment; and improving coordination, monitoring and operational innovations. Concretely, the program plans to expand the annual coverage of SMEs. financed from 45,000 in 2024 to 50,000 in 2026.
