While bitcoin and ethereum were shaking things up on Wednesday, a statement from Tesla is a game changer. This statement causes the world's largest cryptocurrency to slide 0.5%.

Bitcoin fell late Wednesday after Tesla Inc. said it had converted about 75 percent of its purchases of the virtual token into fiat currency, withthe cryptocurrency leader sliding 0.5 percent to $23,268.92. And yet,bitcoin continued to rally on Wednesday, posting a one-month high. Ethereum, the second-largest cryptocurrency by capitalization, was following a similar movement.
