The National Institute of Statistics has announced on Sunday that the annual inflation rate in Tunisia fell to 5% in September, compared to 5.2% in August, reaching its lowest level since 2021.

In Tunisia, the inflation rate reached its lowest level since May 2021 and reached 5% in September 2025, compared to 5.2% the previous month. According to the INS, this decline is mainly explained by the slowdown in the pace of price changes in the product group food (5.7% in September 2025 against 5.9% in August 2025), prices of leisure and culture group (4.6% in September 2025 against 5.4% in August) 2025), prices for the services of restaurants, cafes and hotels group (10.1%) in September 2025 (compared to 10.6% in August 2025) and prices for the services group transport (3.1% in September 2025 against 3.6% in August 2025).

On the other hand, over a month, the price index consumption increased by 0.6% in month of September 2025 compared to the month of August 2025. This increase is mainly attributed to the rise in food prices of 1.3% and education services group prices of 3.7%.
