The announcement was made last Thursday in Abidjan by the Minister of State, Minister of Agriculture and Sustainable Development .
Last year, the kilogram of cocoa was sold at 750 FCFA. This year, the Head of State, Alassane Ouattara, renewed the price of the main campaign which is 825 FCFA. Note that Côte d'Ivoire is the world's largest producer of cocoa, which is its first export crop. 70% of the European Union's cocoa consumption comes from this West African country.
