According to the Directorate of Forecasting and Economic Studies (Dpee), imports of goods from WAEMU countries are estimated at 6.9 billion CFA francs in November 2020 against 4.4 billion the previous month.

They thus represented 1.8% of the total value of imports of goods in November 2020 against 1.5% a month earlier. Côte d'Ivoire remains Senegal's main supplier within the zone, with a share estimated at 78.7% in November 2020 against 88.8% in October 2020, a loss of market share of 10.1 percentage points.

Still according to the Dpee, purchases from this country mainly concerned "edible fruits and vegetables", "artificial plastic materials" and "wood and works" with respective shares, of 19.1%, 11.8%, and 8.0% during the month of November 2020.
