At the end of its 91-day treasury bill auction, Benin obtained the sum of 33 billion CFA francs on Thursday, August 7, 2025, from investors in the UEMOA financial market.

Benin plans to meet its budgetary needs. The sum of 30 billion FCFA had been put up for auction by the issuer. Investors made overall bids of 64.967 billion FCFA, i.e. a coverage rate of the amount put up for auction of 216.56%

The amount of tenders accepted was 33 billion FCFA and that rejected 31.967 billion FCFA. This gives an absorption rate of 50.80%.

Investors whose bids have been accepted will end up with a weighted average return of 5.20%.

The Beninese Public Treasury has undertaken to repay the vouchers on the first working day following the due date set on November 6, 2025. Interest will, on the other hand, be paid in advance and deducted from the nominal value of the vouchers
