Through its public treasury, Côte d'Ivoire obtained on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from investors in the UEMOA financial market, the sum of 41.2 billion CFA francs. These funds, obtained after its simultaneous issuance of an auction of 364-day treasury bills (BAT) and comparable 3-year, 5 and 7-year treasury bonds, aims to meet

The amount put up for auction was 50 billion FCFA. The overall bids made by investors amounted to 53.903 billion CFA francs. This corresponds to a coverage rate of 107.81% for the amount put up for auction.

The amount of tenders selected was 41.2 billion FCFA and that rejected was 12.703 billion FCFA. This gives an absorption rate of 76.43%. The issuer did not consider it appropriate to adopt the proposals made on the 5-year bonds.

Investors whose submissions were selected will end up with a weighted average return of 6.93% for good bonds, 7.37% for 3-year bonds, and 7.37% for 3-year bonds and 7.44% for 7-year bonds.

Vouchers will be paid on the first business day following the due date of July 28, 2026. As for the payment of interest, it will be made in advance and deducted from the nominal value of these vouchers

The Ivorian Public Treasury has undertaken to repay the principal of the bonds on the first working day following the due date set at July 28, 2028 for 3-year bonds and July 30, 2032 for 7-year bonds.
