Following its issuance of a targeted auction of 364-day treasury bonds and comparable 3-year treasury bonds, the Directorate General of the Treasury and Public Accounting (DGTCP) of Senegal, on Friday 13 June 2025, raised the sum of 76.999 billion FCFA on the UEMOA financial market this Friday, June 13, 2025.

The Senegalese Public Treasury continues to use resources from the subregional market to meet its financing requirements. The operation aroused a great deal of enthusiasm among investors in the sub-region. Also according to L'Observateur, the total amount of bids amounted to 79.228 billion CFA francs, i.e. a coverage rate of 113.18%. Finally, 76.999 billion FCFA were retained, the rest having been rejected for various reasons, representing an absorption rate of 97.19%. The average return granted to investors is 7.25% for BAT and 7.44% for OATs

What marks this new auction is the dominance of Côte d'Ivoire among lenders, confirming a dynamic already observed during a previous fundraising campaign last May. According to the data provided, Côte d'Ivoire proposed, and was able to retain, more than 15.38 billion FCFA for one-year titles and nearly 24.8 billion FCFA for those with three years. This brings its total contribution to more than 40 billion CFA francs, more than half of the total amount raised by Senegal in this operation
