This Friday, oil prices fell slightly, but were on track to gain nearly 4% for the week, boosted by the upward revision of its 2024 oil demand forecast by the International Energy Agency by the International Energy Agency and by an unexpected drop in inventories americans.

American West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude fell 35 cents or 0.4% to $80.91.After crossing $85 per barrel on Thursday for the first time since November, Brent crude oil futures fell 38 cents, or 0.4%, to $85.04 per barrel at 07:51 GMT on Thursday. Global oil demand will increase by 1.3 million bbl/d in 2024, the IEA said in its latest report, an increase of 110,000 bbl/d compared to last month
