The first edition of the Mobile Festival (Festimob) was launched on Saturday, November 5, 2022 in Cocody, an upscale town in eastern Abidjan. It was during a press conference hosted by the event promoter, Thierry Mensah. The aim of this new platform is to unite players in the digital economy with a view to developing the sector.

The official launch of Festimob aims to promote the mobile sector and also to popularize and reward actors in order to promote the development of the digital economy in Cô and Ivory. According to Thierry Mensah, the promoter of the event, beyond these objectives, the promotion of Made in Côte d'Ivoire applications will be promoted as well as their designers. The opportunities for young people in this area will also be noted. According to him, they intend to “present innovative solutions to young people, through the initiation of a special day to train them in the proper use of technology and help them create wealth.” According to him, this festival is an opportunity for Côte d'Ivoire because it will allow it to boost its development thanks to new technologies, like the countries advanced in ICT in the world and even in Africa.
