On Friday, October 28, 2022, Congolese Prime Minister Anatole Collinet Makosso simultaneously inaugurated the second module of the company's headquarter& eacute; from MTN Congo mobile telephony and to the launch of the 5G test phase at the Elbo Suite hotel in Brazzaville.

The inauguration ceremony of the second module at the head office of the mobile phone company MTN Congo took place in the presence of several members of the government, officials and agents of MTN Congo and several civilian and military guests. Indeed, MTN Congo has continued to invest massively in the country and covers more than 400 localities with a market share of more than 60% and more than 3.3 million subscribers. It has had a partnership with the Fund for Universal Access and Service of Electronic Communications (FASUCE), which has enabled it to connection access to more than 145 rural areas. For Léon Juste Ibombo, Minister of Posts, Telecommunications and the Digital Economy, over the past five years, a sum of 110 billion CFA francs has been invested by the operator to modernize and extend its network, with a view to reducing the digital divide in the country. According to him, “history will remember that it was in the presence of the Prime Minister and Head of Government, His Excellency Mr. Anatole Collinet Makosso, that MTN materialized Congo's entry into 5G mobile telephony technology, with speeds in excess of 10Gb/s and including ongoing tests ; perform with great success.”
