On Friday, October 21, 2022, the managing director of the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) Rémi Rioux announced a portfolio of 2,000 billion FCFA of projects and projects investment under way in Côte d'Ivoire. It was during an audience granted to him by the Vice-President of the Republic, Tiemoko Meylet Koné.

After the meeting with the Vice-President of the Republic, Rémi Rioux indicated that the interview allowed him to understand his vision and analysis of the situation in the country and also of crises currently shaking the world, namely the Russo-Ukrainian war, the global subregional situation and the issue of climate change, according to a presidential note. During the meeting, the CEO of AFD stressed that he was reassured to hear that the transformation of the Ivorian economy, in a peaceful climate, is under way.

According to Rémi Rioux, this interview also provided an opportunity to get the Vice President's opinion on cooperation between Côte d'Ivoire and AFD. For him, nearly 2,000 billion CFA francs in projects and investments are currently being implemented in Abidjan and throughout the country. This is how on Thursday, October 20, 2022, the Prime Minister, Patrick ACHI inaugurated the Yopougon Technical and Vocational High School. According to Rémy RIOUX, the objective is to properly position AFD's support and operations so that this partnership, on an equal footing, is the most beneficial for both Côte d'Ivoire and France.
