The second West Africa Connect event to facilitate links between actors in the mango, cassava and ICT value chains was organized by the Programme for Competitiveness of West Africa (WACOMP). The aim is to establish new business partnerships and increase business transactions.

The West Africa Connect event connected sellers and manufacturers in the region with buyers from within and outside the region in value chains in the mango, cassava, and ICT and also included roundtables on export potential, digitization, quality, investment, women's inclusion, product certification, exhibition stands, and B2B meetings. More than 100 SMEs and 20 regional and international buyers participated in the event and around 150 B2B meetings took place.

The vision of the West Africa Competitiveness Program (WACOMP) is to strengthen the competitiveness of the West African region and to strengthen L&# 39; integration of ECOWAS member States and Mauritania into the regional and international trading system. It is led by the ECOWAS Commission, in collaboration with the UEMOA Commission, funded by the European Union and implemented by UNIDO and ITC, which are the implementing agencies of the regional component of WACOMP.
