In collaboration with the General Delegation for Rapid Entrepreneurship of Women and Youth (DER/FJ), the National Bank for Economic Development (BNDE) signed a financing agreement with the Association of Urban Transport Professionals (AFTU) on Thursday 22 September.

The BNDE is committed to investing the line of credit of CFAF 3.3 billion (5 million euros) will allow the acquisition of 200 minibuses from Senbus as well as the assumption of costs related to the all-risk insurance. In this agreement, the BNDE has received the support of the DER which has set up a cash deposit of 50% of the loan.

Apart from the signature, Thierno Seydou Nourou Sy, BNDE's General Manager thanked the Ministry of Infrastructure and the State of Senegal through the Ministry of Finance and Budget. through the Ministry of Finance and Budget for their support, especially in difficult times marked by shortcomings in the governance of large-scale projects. "Had it not been for this support, the regulatory constraints to which BNDE is subject, in the same way as other banks, would significantly reduce our capacity to intervene in this sector," he said.
