On Wednesday, September 22, a new system was launched by the government in Abidjan. Called “e-supplier”, it will ensure greater transparency in the management of public expenditure.

Public invoice-processing systems are generally slow in private companies in Africa, slowing down their activities, so a major advantage is Côte d&rsquo ; ivory has set up a platform dedicated to government suppliers and service providers. It was launched in Abidjan by Prime Minister Patrick Achi in the presence of members of the government, business leaders and professional organizations from the private sector.

Rated “new” by Patrick Achi, this tool aims to reduce the time it takes to pay bills for government providers and allows providers to track all & Easy steps in the process, from the order to the payment of their bills, without the need to physically travel.

The Prime Minister thus declares, “This solves the issue of deadlines, but above all, it allows private sector actors to be reassured that their bill is in course of treatment [...] especially SMEs for whom the issue of cash flow is essential in the commitments they make.”

Already available online, this platform has taken into account these new payment terms.
