In its decision, the World Bank's “50×2030" Initiative will therefore be a basis for filling the gaps in detailed information on value chains.
The “50×2030" initiative created by the World Bank has selected Benin to benefit from its services. According to Gaston Dosoui, Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, this initiative will provide this country with “substantial support” to strengthen the capacity of actors in the National Integrated System of Agricultural, Food and Nutrition Statistics (Snisan) and the implementation of certain collection operations.
Indeed, Benin is getting considerable support in its drive to have agricultural statistics to guide decisions and actions in order to reach the targets set out in the Goal of sustainable development (Odd), which is the elimination of hunger and all forms of malnutrition by 2030.
Thus, according to the Minister of Agriculture, the project to set up a modern agricultural and nutritional statistics survey system (Symesan) is a project The priority of the Government's Action Programme (Pag 2021-2026) will shake off as early as 2023.
