To boost hibiscus production, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mohammad Abubakar, said that Nigeria had relaunched economic ties with Mexico.

Mexico is not only another country with which Nigeria maintains good diplomatic relations, but also a strategic trading partner and the country's largest hibiscus importer. Hibiscus brought $35 million to Nigeria through the export of 1,983 containers of hibiscus to Mexico in 2017. With this new partnership, the country expects a better result.
