Paid at XAF 1,249 per kilogram last Tuesday, cocoa beans saw a 4% price increase to XAF 1,295 ($2.01) per kilogram on Thursday. This increase follows a 3% drop in price between last week and Tuesday of this week, according to figures from the ONCC. However, farm gate prices remain stable, buyers and farmers told Dow Jones Newswires. Cocoa was XAF 1,150 per kilogram in the Southwest region, the same as Tuesday and last week, and XAF 1,050 in the main cocoa-producing region.
