The France and Angola reinvigorate their partnership with the signing of new agreements. The France is the 2nd largest foreign investor in Angola, and economic relations between the two countries continue to evolve positively.

The Angolan and French governments have initialled agreements for the strengthening of angola's agriculture and transport sectors, for a total amount of US$244.1 million. The announcement was made by the French ambassador and special envoy for public diplomacy in Africa, Sylvain Itté, on Twitter on Friday, May 13.

Funding consists of $207.8 million to finance agricultural projects. The objective is to support the reforms implemented by the Angolan authorities for "a more diversified economy and inclusive development". As for the remaining 36.3 million, they constitute a loan from the French Development Agency (AFD) and will be used to "modernize agricultural vocational training". In addition to this financing, the Angolan side has agreed on collaboration with the France in the field of transport. It is an "exchange of experiences with French actors in the urban transport management sector, the preparation of projects to improve and ensure the sustainability of Luanda's urban transport system, and a reference framework of sustainable financing solutions for the sector".
