Companies based in Congo have transferred abroad profits to the tune of 860 billion FCFA generated by their activities. This is what emerges from 2022 from the report of the British NGO Tax Justice Network (TAJ), a network of specialists in the issues of tax evasion, tax competition and tax havens.

Companies based in the Republic of Congo transferred 860 billion FCFA of their profits abroad to the detriment of the country's taxation. Indeed, some companies manage to reduce their tax bill by transferring profits to subsidiaries located in countries where taxation is the most favorable, or tax havens. In Congo for the year 2021, these operations have made the Congolese State bear more than 280 billion CFA francs in tax losses.
