For the year 2020, Benin records the best performance in the use of financial services in the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) zone. The country's inclusion rate stands at 82.4%.

Benin has the highest financial inclusion rate in 2020. More than 8 out of 10 Beninese have access to financial services in 2020. According to the Report on the situation of financial inclusion in the Uemoa zone, the inclusion rate of Benin stood at 82.4%. It is followed by Togo (81.6%), Côte d'Ivoire (79.1%), Senegal (75.6%) and Burkina (75.4%). The document from the Central Bank of West African States (Bceao) specifies that the country had the highest demographic penetration rate with 253 service points for 10,000 adults last year, followed by Mali. (185 points), Côte d'Ivoire (118), Burkina (94) and Senegal (84). The most significant progress is thus noted in Benin (+87 points) in terms of the number of service points available. It is followed by Mali (+46 points), Togo (+13 points) and Côte d'Ivoire (+3 points).
