The Bceao, in a recent publication, indicates that in 2020, Togo allocated 48% of its budget revenue (including grants), i.e. 444 billion out of 926 billion FCFA, to investment expenditure.

Compared to 2019, budgetary revenues have almost doubled. Last year, 28.5% (234.7 billion FCFA) of the 822 billion FCFA of revenue and donations collected were used to cover budgeted investment needs. With this percentage, Togo comes in fourth position in the Uemoa space, in terms of the ratio of investment expenditure / budget revenue (including grants), after Niger, Guinea-Bissau and Senegal, inform the statistics of the Bank. As a reminder, still in 2020, Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) in the Togolese economy grew by 85%, with more than 352 billion FCFA injected.
