The 27th Congress brings together the plenipotentiaries of the 192 member countries every four years. The main objective of the Congress is to bring together the global postal strategy for the next four years. For three weeks, participating member countries discuss together issues of policy, strategy and development of the global postal sector. " The Government, through the Ministry of Digital Economy, Telecommunications and Innovation, invites all the vital forces of the Ivorian public administration, all local authorities, diplomatic representations accredited in Côte d'Ivoire, the Embassies of Côte d'Ivoire in the 192 member countries of the UPU, the national and international press, technical and financial institutions and partners, the national and international private sector, to mobilize to meet the challenge of making the 27th Congress of the Universal Postal Union, which will take place in Africa, and for the first time in Côte d'Ivoire, a historic success," said a note from the ministry. During the Congress, discussions will be held with the aim of defining in a consensual manner, the rules that will govern the logistical management of international mail exchanges for the next four years.
