On Tuesday 26 August, the Federal Government of Nigeria unveiled a portal for reporting and tracking fraud in the Nigerian real estate sector. This platform is designed to allow citizens to report all fraud incidents in this sector.

The Nigerian Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, has launched a digital platform for reporting real estate fraud, intended to allow citizens to report questionable practices and submit evidence concerning disputes related to housing developments and real estate transactions.

Developed in partnership with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), this system is part of the 2012 National Housing Policy, which provides for strengthened regulation and control of the sector. According to Minister Dangiwa, it will help protect Nigerians from scams and increase transparency.
