UEMOA: Ivory Coast raises 142.560 billion FCFA on the financial market

Côte d'Ivoire raised the sum of 142.560 billion CFA francs on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at the level of the UEMOA financial market at the end of its simultaneous issuance of 364-day, 3, 5 and 7-year treasury bonds auction organized in partnership with UMOA-Titres.

The amount put up for auction was 130 billion FCFA. The overall submissions from investors amounted to 145.560 billion FCFA. This corresponds to a coverage rate of the amount put up for auction of

111.97%.

The amount of tenders accepted is 142.560 billion FCFA and that rejected at 3 billion FCFA. This gives an absorption rate of 97.94%

Investors whose submissions were selected will end up with a weighted average return of 7.05% for good bonds, 7.37% for 3-year bonds, 7.37% for 3-year bonds, 7.37% for 3-year bonds, 7.43% for 5-year bonds, 7.43% for 5-year bonds and 5.95% for 7-year bonds.

The Ivorian Public Treasury has undertaken to repay the vouchers issued on the first working day following the due date set at August 25, 2026. Interest will be paid in advance and deducted from the face value of these vouchers

The principal of the bonds will be repaid on the first business day following the due date set at August 20, 2028 for 3-year bonds, August 27, 2030 for 5-year bonds, and August 20, 2032 for 7-year bonds.

On the other hand, interest payments will be made annually at a rate of 5.45% for bonds with a term of 3 years, 5.70% for 5-year bonds and 5.95% for 7-year bonds at the end of the first year.
