The Investment and Development Bank of the Economic Community of West African States (BIDC) said in a statement that it had signed a commercial credit line agreement in the amount of 40 million US dollars with India Exim Bank.

The partnership was concluded a few days ago in London with the branch of India Exim Bank and would provide essential support to infrastructure projects led by Indian exporters. This long-term credit line between BIDC and India Exim Bank should also promote closer exchanges and partnerships between India and the African continent, according to the statement

BIDC President George Agyekum Donkor emphasized the need for the BIDC to increase investments in key sectors such as energy, health, transport, transport, agriculture, and infrastructure, in order to boost economic growth in West Africa while building resilience in the face of an increasingly volatile global context.
