On Wednesday 20 August 2025, WIA Gold announced that it had received firm commitments from investors as part of an equity investment aimed at raising 30 million Australian dollars (approximately 19 million USD).

The Australian mining company plans to use the financing to accelerate the development of the Kokoseb deposit, its main gold asset. The transaction will see the issuance of 100 million new shares at a price of 0.30 AUD. It is intended to support exploration work on the Kokoseb deposit, whose resources are currently estimated at 2.93 million ounces of gold. A program of shallow infill drilling has been announced for this purpose

These initiatives are part of WIA Gold's plan to develop its first gold mine in Kokoseb. It should be noted that this new investment comes in a favorable context for the yellow metal, whose prices have increased by around 30% since the beginning of the year.
