A cyberattack at the end of July at the American insurance company Allianz Life compromised the personal data of 1.1 million customers, the data breach notification site Have I Been Pwned reports on Monday.

Allianz Life previously said that hackers stole the personal information of most of its 1.4 million American customers, financial professionals, and some employees.

According to data published by Have I Been Pwned, the hacked information includes customers' names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses.

An Allianz Life spokesperson declined to comment at this time as the internal investigation is still ongoing.

The spokesperson said, however, that the company would provide those affected with dedicated resources, including two years of identity surveillance services.

This breach is part of a wider wave of large-scale cyberattacks targeting global businesses, including Microsoft and UnitedHealth Group.

Last year, a cyberattack on UnitedHealth's technology division — the largest health data breach in U.S. history — affected 192.7 million people.

At the same time, hackers infiltrated Microsoft's local SharePoint servers in July, affecting over 100 organizations, including U.S. government agencies, and raising concerns about identity security.
