The Moroccan public fertilizer producer, OCP Nutricorps, announced on Friday its intention to increase its production capacity of nitrogen-free soil nutrients, known as triple superphosphate (TSP), to reach 7 million metric tons (TSP), to reach 7 million metric tons by the end of 2025, after having already reached 5 million tons last month.

OCP Nutricrops, a subsidiary of the OCP group, has reached the 5 million tons of TSP (Triple Super Phosphate) production capacity, thanks to the implementation of its strategic program “TSP Hub”, launched on the industrial platform of Jorf Lasfar.

With the commissioning of the first two lines, each with an annual capacity of 500,000 tons, OCP Nutricrops's equivalent TSP production now exceeds 5 million tons, indicates OCP Nutricrops in a press release.

TSP, concentrated phosphate fertilizer, contains more than 90% of phosphorus that is immediately available to plants, which makes it particularly suitable for deficient soils and rational fertilization strategies based on the principles of 4R (good source, right dose, right time, right place), which makes it particularly suitable for deficient soils and sustainable fertilization strategies based on the principles of 4R (right source, right dose, right time, right place), says the press release.
