Although imports to date this year are below last year's levels in a context of global transfer of copper stocks to the United States, Chinese copper imports rebounded by 8.7% in June, after two months of decline.

Imports of raw copper and copper products reached 464,000 metric tons in June, up from 427,000 in May and 438,000 in April, according to customs data released on Monday.
