In Ethiopia, coffee exports reached a record high at the end of fiscal year 2024/2025. In a statement published on July 9, the Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority (ECTA) indeed indicates that the sector garnered $2.65 billion in export earnings

The East African country exported 468,967 tons of coffee to generate revenue during the Ethiopian fiscal year 2024/2025 that ended on July 7, which ended on July 7, the ECTA announced in a statement on Tuesday.

The volume of coffee exported in fiscal year 2024/2025 increased by more than 170,478 tons compared to the previous fiscal year, according to the authority.

“While this is a remarkable achievement, there is still considerable untapped potential,” said Adugna Debela, Executive Director of ECTA.
