Dans une vision de collaboration pour relever les défis cruciaux de l' Afrique en matière de logement et de développement urbain, Shelter Afrique Development Bank (SHAfDB) has signed an innovative Memorandum of Understanding with the African Union (AU).

The partnership is between SHAfDB and the AU is part of Agenda 2063 and highlights the shared commitment to ensure a high standard of living, quality of life and well-being. ; to be of all African citizens. This memorandum of understanding defines the main areas of cooperation aimed at closing the housing gap in Africa, promoting sustainable urban development, and advancing capacity building efforts. The MoU focuses on strategic collaboration in several areas such as sustainable housing and urban development, the fight against the housing deficit, capacity building, resource mobilization, resource mobilization, policy development and advocacy, technological research and innovation, and environmental sustainability. To ensure effective implementation, SHAfDB and the AU will develop a Joint Action Plan (JAP) outlining specific activities, timelines, and review mechanisms. Also, the agreement includes provisions for cooperation with AU subsidiary bodies, such as AUDA-NEPAD and the African Union Peace Fund, in order to harmonize efforts across the continent
