The President of Afreximbank, Professor Benedict Oramah, met with His Excellency Abdelmadjid Tebboune, President of the Algerian Republic, prior to the opening ceremony to discuss the strategic importance of this event for the development of cultural and creative industries in Africa.

Ms. Kanayo Awani, Executive Vice President of Afreximbank, announced at the opening that the Bank had doubled its funding to the creative sector, bringing it to 1 billion US dollars.
