From 19 to 24 April 2024, a competition between five universities and colleges is being organized in Abidjan as part of the 4th edition of the African Digital Week (ADW 2024) as part of the 4th edition of the African Digital Week (ADW 2024).

The 4th edition of ADW 2024 is placed for this edition under the theme “education and training for Industry 4.0, what a blueprint for Africa”. It started last Friday at the premises of the Ecole Supérieure Africaine des Techniques de l'Information et de la Communication (ESATIC), in Treichville, with the first part of the forum dedicated to youth. The first phase of this edition is a competition. It takes place in the form of a hashathon involving five Ivorian universities and colleges in competition. These are the Nangui Abrogoua University, the Félix Houphouët-Boigny University, the Virtual University of Côte d'Ivoire, the Grandes Écoles Pigier and ESATIC. The teams formed by these establishments must present a solution involving emerging technologies that can contribute to the processing of raw materials in Côte d'Ivoire.
