La note accordé par Standard & Poor's In Benin it appears that the country is giving satisfaction in its economic, budgetary and financial management. This is a remarkable decision that strengthens Benin's position among the best loans in Sub-Saharan Africa, behind Botswana and alongside South Africa and Côte d'Ivoire. Benin's financing strategy and its proactive debt management, illustrated by the issuance of an inaugural Eurobond in dollars in the amount of 750 million dollars, over a maturity of 14 years on February 13, 2024, are praised by S&P. S&P recalls the strong economic dynamism recorded by Benin, marked by a growth that exceeded expectations with a rate of 6.4% in 2023, anticipating the sustainability of this trend with average growth above this rate between 2024 and 2027.
