A press release published on Wednesday mentions that an international training workshop on Sustainable Public Procurement (ODA) will take place in Dakar from 22 to 26 April next year.

L'atelier prévu pour quelques jours est un projet mis en œuvre par le Centre de formation de l' Autorité de régulation de la commande publique (ARCOP) en partenariat avec la World Bank. It will be a question of “driving the paradigm shift”. According to the press release, participants “will receive training on this new concept of ODA, which is now applicable to all public policies, more specifically in public procurement, which represents around 15% of global GDP.” The strategic concept of ODA aims to integrate economic, social and environmental considerations into the public procurement cycle

The workshop will be held at the Institute for the Regulation of Public Procurement (IRCOP) and will bring together experts from the western and northern regions of the continent in order to “reposition public procurement in the West African region as a strategic catalyst for economic, social and environmental progress”.
