Two major French banks are reselling their Moroccan banking networks. It is Société Générale which will soon sell its banking subsidiary in Morocco to the Saham group

Société Générale Marocaine announced that it wanted to sell its banking subsidiary in Morocco to the Saham group, shortly after the withdrawal of the retail bank of another French banking giant. Indeed, Crédit Agricole SA (Casa) announced at the end of 2022 to sell 63.7% of Crédit du Maroc to the Moroccan group Holmarcom, with the remaining 15% expected to be sold to it in the following eighteen months. For its part, Société Générale is not completely disappearing from the landscape like its competitors. It plans a commercial agreement with Saham to support its major customers in Morocco
