Husk Power announced on 28 March that it had obtained $20 million in debt financing from the European Investment Bank (EIB). This funding will allow it to expand its activities in Nigeria.

Husk Power is a clean energy company that serves rural and peri-urban areas in sub-Saharan Africa. He said that the loan obtained near the EIB is the largest debt financing for mini-grids in sub-Saharan Africa. This investment will fund the construction of community solar mini-grids, the installation of rooftop solar panels for commercial and industrial customers, and the expansion of device sales to households and small businesses, among others
