On March 22, 2024, Cognizant and Google Cloud announced the expansion of their partnership to improve the software delivery lifecycle and accelerate developer productivity. Cognizant will adopt Gemini for Google Cloud in two ways. The first is to train Cognizant associates to use Gemini to help with software development. The second way is to integrate Gemini's advanced capabilities into its internal operations and platforms

Over the next 12 months and in line with its Synapse Initiative to train one million people worldwide by 2026, Cognizant will invest in training more than 70,000 associates in the training of more than 70,000 associates in multiple Cognizant functions on Google Cloud AI offerings.
