During the work of the annual review of the performance of projects financed by the Bank, which took place on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, in Brazzaville, the World Bank announced a financing of 463.5 billion CFA francs (766 million dollars) to the Republic of Congo.

The financing granted by the World Bank to the Republic of Congo is part of the partnership between the institution and the country for the period 2020-2025, and is mainly aimed at strengthening economic management. It will fund twelve development projects. Seven of the twelve funded projects are national and correlate with the priorities of the National Development Plan 2022—2026. It should be noted that progress has been made in the framework of the partnership between the two parties, including the improvement of financing mechanisms and particular attention to priority sectors such as agriculture, social protection, employability training and the environment
