The activities of the Regional Stock Exchange (BRVM) market experienced disparate developments at the end of the trading session on Monday, February 26, 2024.

The market capitalization of the equity market increased by 3.965 billion FCFA, to 7,908.401 billion FCFA compared to 7,904.436 billion FCFA on Friday, February 23, 2024. That of the bond market fell by 5.057 billion, from 10,301.462 billion FCFA the day before to 10,296.405 billion FCFA this Monday, February 26, 2024. The value of transactions increased by 23 million compared to the previous day's session, reaching 1.188 billion FCFA against 1.165 billion FCFA

previously.

On the index side, the situation remains mixed. The BRVM Prestige index (an index comprising all the values listed on the Prestige compartment) fell by 0.37% to 99.91 points against 100.28 points the day before. The composite index (general stock market index) rose slightly by 0.05% to 211.58 points against 212.47 points the day before. The BRVM 30 index (index of the 30 most traded stocks on the Stock Exchange) also recorded a slight increase of 0.08% to 106.92 points against 106.83 points previously.
