The meeting of ministers of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) ended on Thursday, February 15, 2024 in Ouagadougou.

The ministers' meeting allowed the (Minister of State, Minister of Defence and Veterans Affairs, Head of Delegation of Burkina Faso, Minister of State, Minister of Territorial Administration and Decentralization, Minister of Territorial Administration and Decentralization, Head of Delegation of Mali, Head of Delegation of Mali, Head of Delegation of Mali and the Minister of National Defence, Head of Delegation of Niger) to trace the furrows of the Alliance of States of Sahel through important proposals and recommendations contained in the summary of the conclusion read by Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and Burkinabè Abroad. Ministers decided to base the treaty on the historical references specific to the people of the Sahel. They also opted for an institutional architecture including sessions of summits of heads of state, sessions of the Council of Ministers and sessions of representatives of parliaments
