On Tuesday, February 6, the Higher Authority for State Control and the Fight against Corruption (ASCE-LC) delivered a 2022 activity report during a press conference in Ouagadougou.

The ASCE-LC 2022 General Activity Report presents the report of what the Authority carried out in 2022. The assessment allowed Urbain Millogo, interim State Comptroller General, to deliver the highlights of the 2022 balance sheet of his structure. Indeed, ASCE-LC has conducted awareness-raising campaigns at public conferences and developed the national strategy for the prevention of the fight against corruption and the follow-up of international conventions and participated in international bodies. According to Urbain Millogo, “108 taxable persons made their declaration out of 203 taxable persons, i.e. a rate of 97.53% (for those who should take office). With regard to declarations of cessation of office, 100 taxable persons made their declaration out of 103 who were expected”.

noted that the ASCE-LC is the supreme body for internal administrative control and the fight against corruption in Burkina Faso. It ensures the coordination and technical supervision of the administrative bodies responsible for internal control and the fight against corruption and similar offences.
