Dans le but de garantir des opérations de financement du Commerce international, la Banque Populaire de Mauritanie (BPM) and Society& eacute; Financière Internationale (IFC World Bank) have signed a partnership agreement

Following its agreement with the BPM, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) will extend a guarantee line to the Bank to support its Trade Finance operations with international confirming Banks. This guarantee will serve to increase BPM's relationships with major international banks and to strengthen its financing capacity for its customers. Limam Ebnou, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Banque Populaire de Mauritanie, believes that “the signing of this agreement between the IFC and the BPM, as the first Mauritanian bank to join the IFC GTFP Program since 2014, is a great sign of confidence in it by international institutions and offers it an opportunity to further strengthen the volume of its financing offer to its importing clientele and to serve them even better.”
