Last year, trade between Côte d'Ivoire and Mali reached 913.4 billion CFA francs (1.4 billion dollars), an increase of 45% compared to 2021.

Mali is Ivory Coast's largest global customer, but also one of the largest suppliers to Abidjan worldwide. Indeed, at the opening of the experts' work, in preparation for the 4th session of the Main Joint Cooperation Committee in Bamako, quoting the head of the Ivorian delegation, Abdoulaye Kouyaté called on the two parties to strengthen their commercial ties, in particular by eradicating all obstacles to the establishment of activities in the national business community between the two countries and to facilitate mutual access & agrave; their respective market.

As a reminder, the major joint cooperation commission between Mali and Côte d'Ivoire was launched in Abidjan in 1977. It is held every two years and aims to take stock of bilateral cooperation.
